SUSTAINABLE CREDENTIALS

  • They use cattle as a tool to disturb the surface of the land to achieve conservation goals by recycling nutrients and improving the water cycle
  • They work closely with conservation organisations such as the Nature Conservancy, Colorado Parks and Wildlife to take advantage of science-based management methods
  • They have the knowledge of animal behaviours, stocking rates, densities and grazing patterns to understand the natural processes to ensure successfully rehabilitation
  • Their main goals consist of managing strictly for wildlife habitat to seeking a specific biologic goal such as providing habitat for an endangered species, controlling erosion.

With only a handful of guests at a time – rarely more than six—families are able to learn by becoming actively involved in the day’s work.  Head out at sun-rise on horseback as you move pasture herds before spending the afternoon contributing to the running of a working ranch.

The accommodation is  a newly renovated, historic building dating to early 20th century  Each room has a very American charm and is complete with bathroom, full kitchen and sitting room.

With fresh ingredients readily available, the ranch will pack a scrumptious picnic for you to take with you on your adventure, and after a long day of ranching, you’ll come home to a freshly prepared home-style dinner.
