SUSTAINABLE CREDENTIALS

  • Rather than add to their carbon footprint, Tswalu grows fresh produce rather than transport food over long distances. They are continually investigating sustainable approaches to small scale producers.
  • Strong conservation goals to restore, re-establish and maintain the Kalahari’s ecological processes and reintroduce native species.
  • Tswalu Foundation has supported a school providing an education to staff members children and a Healthcare centre providing vital health care to over 5000 local residents.

Tswalu has two luxury camps, the Motse or Tarkuni. The Motse has nine private guest legae (Tswana for ‘home’) three of which are specifically for families. Tarkuni is a private exclusive use homestead with five bedrooms. As South Africa’s biggest privately owned game reserve, Tswalu has extremely low ratio of guests to space. This low impact approach to ecotourism means you’ll be one of no more than 28 guests. Serviced by a private airfield on arrival you’ll be welcomed by your personal field guide and tracker who will take care of your during your stay, arranging every aspect of your safari.
